The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration hosted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to promote the needs of young children, their families and the early childhood programs that serve them. NAEYC has designated the week of April 24th to April 28th as the Week of the Young Child for 2017.

Creekside Park is located at 1821 Old Airport Road in New Bern. Parents and children will participate together in a number of Be Active Kids outdoor activities.
