>What: Five Points Traffic Signal Debate
When: Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 7:00 pm
Where: New Bern City Hall, 300 Pollock Street, New Bern, NC
The safety of the community and those traveling on Broad Street in the Five Points area is at risk.
The turn signals at the intersection of Broad and Queen Streets were removed during the revitalization of Broad Street and contrary to previous agreements these signals were not replaced. It is the contention of the NC Department of Transportation that these signals are no longer necessary and they intend to present their reasoning to the Board of Alderman on November 9, 2010 at 7:00 pm.
Please make plans to attend and show your support for the safety of the community as well as the need to have the signals returned to their original state prior to the revitalization. Your presence alone could make the difference.
