The City of New Bern is pleased to announce a new holiday event, The New Year’s Eve Block Party! This event is presented by Toyota of New Bern, and will be held on Monday, December 31st downtown at the intersection of Craven and Pollock Streets, in front of City Hall. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. Admission is FREE!
The New Year’s Eve Block Party includes family friendly activities, dancing in the streets, beverages available for purchase, a variety of food trucks, a Kids Fun Zone with games and inflatables, a special appearance by Bernie the Bear and much more!
For musical entertainment, Adam Pitts will take the stage at 6:00 p.m. Pitts is well known for his “one-man band” performances in which he uses a unique array of instruments to cover popular hit songs from an impressive variety of genres. The New Year’s Eve Block Party heats up when Love Tribe when takes the stage at 9:00 p.m. Love Tribe is a 5 man “party machine”. Their musical versatility is without limits and features 80’s rock, new country, and the best party, R&B and pop radio hits. Love Tribe is known for thrilling, super high-energy shows that immerse and engage audiences in the experience.
We will wrap the evening up at the stroke of midnight, with a lighted “Bear Drop” to ring in the New Year! “We look forward to offering this new holiday event to the citizens and visitors of New Bern. This event would not be possible without the support of Toyota of New Bern. We encourage everyone to come downtown and enjoy a fun filled evening as we ring in the New Year!” said City of New Bern Director of Parks and Recreation Foster Hughes.
