Bernaroo Music and Arts Festival 2016

Bernaroo Music and Arts Festival 2016

On July 8th and July 9th, the streets of downtown New Bern will once again be abuzz with the sights and sounds of one of Eastern North Carolina’s finest music festivals. Bernaroo Music & Arts Festival highlights some of our state’s most talented artists across multiple venues in downtown New Bern. Isaac Taylor Garden will be home to the festivals’ marquee events on Friday July 8th and Saturday July 9th while an array of local businesses will join in to host free music and art galleries throughout the day on Saturday.

Ticketed events on Friday include performances from the folk-leaning jam band The Family and power-pop visionary Brett Harris with the soulful R&B folk-rockers Rebekah Todd and The Odyssey opening the evening. Saturday boasts performances from psych-rock wunderkinds Zack Mexico, jazzy full-band hip-hop from SkyBlew and the gritty, Southern tinged alt-rock of Arson Daily kicking off the evening. Tickets for Bernaroo Music & Arts Festival are available at $15 for a single-day pass and $25 for a two-day pass and are can be purchased at Bernaroo2016.BrownPaperTickets.com

Isaac Taylor Garden will serve as the festival’s central hub, and throughout the weekend the venue will be packed with local food and art vendors, dance, live painting, excellent North Carolina craft beer, and awe-inspiring local acts from across the state. After each evening show ends, Mickey Milligan’s Billiards will be showcasing more live music for the Official Bernaroo Afterparties (lineup still to be announced). Night one will showcase an all-star lineup of Bernaroo artists joining together for a large collaborative performance that highlights local acts whereas night two will bring mind-bending electronic dance music.
