This is a reminder that the Twin Rivers YMCA is holding a car wash this Thursday, June 21, 12:30-3:30 at Pizza Hut in James City to benefit the Colonial Capital Humane Society (CCHS). The fee is a $5-or-more donation. Exact change would be appreciated, I’m sure.
Summer campers at the Twin Rivers YMCA are having a week of education and projects centered on animal abuse and rescue. They have volunteered to build for CCHS, create donation jars for CCHS, and to hold a fundraiser for CCHS.
Justin LeWinter, director of youth activities at the YMCA, has spent a good deal of time in preparation for the car wash, and it would be fantastic if everyone decided to roll on over to Pizza Hut in James City on Thursday. I’m taking a lunch half-hour from work to do it and hope that it’s so busy that all I’ll have time for is to leave a donation.
It’s so great that the YMCA has chosen CCHS as a way to devote some of the campers’ vacation time. Please try to support them as they support CCHS.
