>Easter Schedule for St Paul Catholic Church

>

We invite you to come and pray with our Parish Family and with the Universal Church as we celebrate the Great Week of our Salvation.

We have begun today with the Procession of Palms on this Palm Sunday of The Passion of The Lord Commemorating Our Lord’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem and reading of the Passion of the Lord.

The Sacred Pascual Triduum

Thursday of The Lord’s Supper, Holy Mass is celebrated at 7:00 P.M. which will include the washing of the feet of 12 parishioners and the Solemn Procession of the Blessed Sacrament to the Altar of Repose. Adoration will continue until 11:00 PM.

Friday of The Passion of The Lord: The Sacred Liturgy at 3:00 PM includes the reading of the Passion, Prayers for the Church and for the world, Adoration of the Cross and Holy Communion. Earlier in the day, at 1:00 PM we will have the Stations of the Cross outside, presented by the Hispanic Community and various organizations of the Parish. We will meet at the large cross on the east side of the church.

Holy Saturday there is no Liturgy of Holy Saturday, the Church waits in mourning for the resurrection of Our Savior.

8:00 P.M The Easter Vigil in The Holy Night. The faithful gather at the new fire in the front of the Church for the blessing of the Easter (Pascual) Candle and procession into Church where in candlelight we hear the Deacon proclaim the Exsultet (the Easter Proclamation). The Liturgy of the Word reviews the History of Salvation. The Baptismal Font and Easter Water are then blessed and five of our Parish Family will be Baptized. Next comes the profession of Faith by the candidates for full communion in the Church and the renewal of Baptismal promises by all of us. Only then do we proceed to the celebration of the Eucharist at this first Mass of Easter. Note: The above Sacred Liturgies will be bi-lingual, English and Spanish.

Easter Sunday: The Mass of the Resurrection
6:00 A.M. An Easter Sunrise Mass (outside weather permitting)
8:00 A.M., 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. (in Spanish)

I wish a Holy, prayerful and blessed filled week to all so that we can together celebrate a most joyous Easter!

Love and Blessings,
Monsignor Lewis
