>New Bern ArtWorks Moves to New Gallery Space

>

New Bern ArtWorks recognized as an outstanding and unique destination fine art gallery is hosting a Grand Opening celebration Friday, October 29, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We are celebrating our move to Studio 323 – “Home of Working Artisans” (formally the historic Baxter’s Jewelry Store) located at 323 Pollock Street, downtown New Bern, NC. The exhibit will feature works of art by local and regional artists through the end of November.

Baxters was established by T.J. Baxter in 1892 and moved to this building location in 1918 by his son. The stately (4,500 square-foot) building has two-story ceilings and a huge skylight in the main gallery showroom. Its sun-bleached antique glass showcases line both sides of the gallery floor. The first and second floors will house 9 working artists studios where visitors can get a comprehensive view of artist at work. With the new open and expansive street frontage location, the gallery can benefit from the foot traffic and visitors will have immediate access to works of art by the gallery’s artists roster and artists studios. The new gallery location will also have ample space and a flow that is perfect for events and openings.

Stop by the gallery and check out the new space and fabulous art. Our new operating hours are Monday – Friday, 10am – 6pm and Saturday, 10am – 5pm. Give us a call at 252-643-9002 or visit us on our web site: www.newbernartworks.com.
