Save the Date!
Congratulations to all who participated and worked so hard on the National Night Out event in August. I’m pleased to report, for the third year in a row, the NATW (National Association of Town Watches) has selected “New Bern as a National Award Winner for its outstanding participation in the 27th Annual National Night Out event”. It was further stated that “this year’s event involved 37 million people in 15,110 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide. We extend our congratulations for being selected among the nation’s best”!
We will be presenting this award to Police Chief Palombo and NBPD at the Board of Alderman meeting January 11 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall (300 Pollock St). Please plan to attend this meeting and be recognized as a group of outstanding citizens who have made a difference in supporting the community and our police partnership with the city.
