When Tommy Moore, Owner of Moore’s Olde Tyme Barbeque, showed me the pictures he took from his Comfort Suites room balcony on the Fourth of July, I was amazed by the view! After his attempt at a Guinness World Record for the Largest Open Barbeque Bun, he watched all of the activities, live entertainment, and the New Bern Air Show from the perfect view of his balcony.
I couldn’t resist asking the friendly Guest Services Representative, Frank Wilson, if I could take some photos of the riverfront overlooking Union Point Park from the balcony of Tommy’s room. He was more than happy to hand me the key.
Upon entering, I took a moment to take in the luxurious room outfitted with beautiful pictures, a large flat screen television, desk, king sized bed, comfortable lounge chairs, telephone…the works! 
Then I entered the balcony. Wow…what a view! After taking a couple of photos, I returned to the front desk and spoke with the General Manager, H. Reginald (Reg) Poteat Jr., and Frank Wilson.
