>“300 Years—300 Views” Art Exhibit Showing at New Bern ArtWorks & Company

January 2010, the city of New Bern began its year-long Tercentennial Celebration. New Bern ArtWorks &amp Company will exhibit 300 paintings done “en plein aire” to artistically celebrate the city’s anniversary.

Members from the plein aire group “Brushstrokes” in Greenville, the “Oops” group in Jacksonville, the Oriental Plein Air group, as well as many other artists, will be participating in this exhibit.

The exhibit specifications: open to all artists and advertised statewide. The paintings are to be painted “en plein aire”, all local scenes, within the New Bern city limits. The paintings could be no larger than 11″ x 14″. To unite the diverse range of artistic styles, art will be created on deep wood panels or wrapped canvas.
The show was limited to 300 paintings and is a juried exhibition.
